OIL

No I havent struck it I have run out of it. And Im freezing. I cannot believe the price. It might last me 2 months or maybe 4 months and its cost £485. Up by nearly £200 since January (when I last got some oil). If you see me wearing about 4 jumpers you know why. Unfortunately when we run out of oil we then have to get somebody to clean the boiler and restart it. What a pain.

I am sitting in the warmest part of the house - the office. Its quite small and seems to contain the heat. Maybe we will all move into here today!!

I have tried to put some pictures on the blog but dont seem able to do this. Far beyond my capability whereas techno is concerned. I dont seem to get on too well with anything powered by electricity (or charged by electricity). I do have a friend that is normally willing to help me out with these sort of things but after my last attemp with a mobile phone I dont know if she will be quite so willing!

Nathan went round to his mate Euan's house on Monday as it was his birthday. He had a wonderful time and I had to tear him away from Alvin and the Chipmonks, (no I dont want to borrow this DVD!!) so hopefully Euan will tell him how it ends. Previously I had received a phone call from Scary to come over and see her stash. Must admit I was expecting a shopful but I think she was too busy (well she still got enough). Very jealous she has got loads of Tilda stamps and this great little contraption where you put all your ribbon, (if it works - only time will tell).

Managed to get to Jordy's last game of the season. Lovely and warm and occasionally sunny. Unfortunately they still lost 8-2. Never mind - cricket season now!

Gotta go now. Tea has got cold and I have to move around as my hands are getting cold.

BACK FROM WORK

Just had a lovely cup of tea and putting my feet up. Hasn't it been a lovely bright day. Managed to take the dog for a walk before work today - don't seem to have been able to do that for two weeks. Everything getting back to normal at last!

Today had an author come into library. Micheal Hardcastle. Writes childrens novels. Lovely bloke. I looked him up on the internet before he came in and I must have put in incorrect name as the one I was expecting was in his 30's and very good looking!! The real one was in his 60's. That was a disappointment. Kids seemed to love him up though. He didnt't read one of his stories just told them about him and his life, said it was quite easy to become an author. My kids wouldn't have believed that at all - getting them to do their homework is a major issue. My eldest will be going to upper school in September. Big Shock to Jordan!!

Question: If somebody dies, you put flowers on their graves on the same day every year right? Why does the date Jesus die differ? Answers on a postcard please.....

Well Here It Goes.....

Its been a funny day. Last day of the Easter holidays. Kids both go back to school tomorrow thank the Lord. Was going to spend some quality time with my youngest boy, Nate. He decided to play with the toy he got for Christmas, the one thats been at the back of the cupboard because it has lots of instructions and bits. A childs version of a welding kit (why did I buy this??). I now have to look quite clever and pretend I know how to use it. It is for 6+ how hard could that be? Luckily for me my friend Scarey pops by with Euan. Bits and instructions put back in box thank goodness.

I feel I must stress that it is down to her that I am writing a blog. Why am I doing this? Will anyone read it? If they do, will they die of boredom? Cant answer any of these questions.
